William Cook Cast Products achieves EDF Nuclear approval

William Cook Cast Products is investing heavily in its Sheffield operations to consolidate its position as a leading supplier of safety-critical, high-integrity steel components to the civil and naval nuclear sectors. Recent investments include a 9MeV linear accelerator radiography unit, upgraded foundry facilities and an ISO 17025-accredited metallurgical laboratory. The Company has a dedicated nuclear team, led by Dr Nora Harris. Approval from EDF opens up opportunities for William Cook Cast Products to supply the Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C and EPR2 nuclear power plant projects.
