The health and safety management systems of all William Cook group companies have been certified to ISO 45001:2018 by Lloyds Register.
Read MoreISO 45001:2018 is an international standard for health and safety at work. It replaces the BS OHSAS 18001, to which the William Cook group was previously certified.
The group’s environmental management systems have also been re-certified to ISO 14001:2015.
Group Commercial Director William Cook commented: “Heavy engineering – and especially the foundry industry – is inherently dangerous. Badly managed plants can also be wasteful and polluting. In everything we do, our priorities are to keep our people safe and to minimise our impact on the environment.
“Unfortunately the same cannot always be said of our lower-cost competitors. I urge our customers to apply the same health, safety and environmental standards to all suppliers worldwide”
